Looking for the parents of my great grandmother, Mary Ellen Riley, of Brooklyn NY. Her parents were Margaret Egan and Edward Riley, both, I believe, born somewhere in Ireland. Mary Ellen married Charles D. Knight and had 5 children, Frank, Lynn, Luella, Clara and Anna (my grandmother.). Mary Ellen had a sister Annie Riley who married John Slater. Most of them lived in the NYC,Brooklyn, LI area. Mary Ellen and Charles and the children attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Brooklyn, though Mary Ellen was, I believe, a Catholic by birth. I was wondering if anyone knew of the birthplace of Margaret and Edward, their marriage place, date of emigration, etc. Is there still a St. Thomas Episcopal Church still in Brooklyn? Thanks so much.
