Looking for any and all information relating to the following people: Patrick and Rose (do not know maiden name) MATTHEWS - both born in Ireland, do no believe they ever left Ireland. Only child I know of: Bridget MATTHEWS - who married ? MCNALLY - believe both born in Ireland, though in 1860, 1870 and 1880 US Fed. Census, their mother was listed as being born in Ireland, while their father was listed as being born in England. Bridget came to the US, NY Port, in 1847, July 27, on the Patrick Henry, embarked from Liverpool with the following 5 girls: (all have listed as Native Country: Great Britain) 1) Anne/Ellen MCNALLY, age 1, born Ireland, (1846) (listed as Anne on the passenger list, but later listed as Ellen in census and death cert.) Ellen married William IRVING, b. 1846, NY, listed as Gasman in 1860 Census. Ellen died July 16, 1877, in NY, from Uterine Cancer, buried in Calvary Cemetery, NY. I do not know if they had any children or what happened to William after Ellen's death. 2) Winifred MCNALLY, age 3, born Ireland, (1844), Winifred is listed in the 1860 NY Fed. Census with her mother, and two sisters, Ellen and Rose Fitzsimmons (spelled Fitsimmons on census), but is not listed with any of her sisters or mother in the 1870 census. I do not know what happened to her. 3) Mary MCNALLY, age 5, born Ireland, (1842) Mary is listed in the passenger index with her mother and 4 sisters, but I have not found her in any of the census (1860, 1870, 1880) that I have found the rest of the sisters and mother. I am assuming she either died, or married. 4) Catharine MCNALLY, age 8, born Ireland (1839) My GGGrandmother, Mary married George DUFFY, had 6 children, all born in NY City, Hugh - b. 1857, George -b. 1859, Mary Alice - b. April 1864, Rose/anne/a - b. 1866, Thomas Frances (my ggrandfather) - b. June, 1869, and Francis - b. 1872. The Duffy family is listed on a separate post) 5) Rose/anna MCNALLY, age 9, born England(1838) married John FITZSIMMONS, not sure when, he was born in NY in April of 1833. He died March 6, 1860, NY of consumption. They had no children that I know of. Rose is listed as an artist, living with her mother Bridget, and sisters Ellen and Winifred in the 1860 census. Rose then married Patrick J. HEALY, on September 16, 1866. Patrick was born in Tullamore, Kings County, (Offaly) Ireland in 1841. Patrick was a soldier in the Civil War, fighting for the Irish Brigade in the 88th Infantry Regiment of NY. They had one son, John D. HEALY, born 1877, NY. He died in January, 1895, NY City. Both Patrick and John D. are buried in Calvary Cemetery. Do not know where Rose is buried. (John Fitzsimmons is listed as also being buried in Calvary Cemetery, but he can not be found). Would be ecstatic to find out Bridget McNally's husband's name, her place of birth, any siblings, and also what happened to both Winifred and Mary McNALLY. Thanks!
