In Aug 99 I contacted the police commissioners office for data from the 1860's and was directed to the NYC Police museum at 25 Broadway. Their reply was, "the Police Museum does not maintain biographical information about members of the Police Department". The NY Public Library and the Historical Society both suggested the Police Museum but at a different address, 230 East 20th St.10003, 212-477-9753. I never did follow up on that. My cousin tried to get some info quite a few years ago, I don't know just where, and was told that he needed a badge number. Good luck, Ted
