Transcriptions from October 3-10, 1857 of the "Irish-American" newspaper have been added to the list website. These transcriptions include marriages, deaths and news from Ireland. 'News from New York City' includes a list of Tammany Hall committee members (by ward). 'News from Around the US' features the story of the wreck of the Central America, including both survivors' and missing lists. The Surname Database has been expanded to include Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties - in addition to the five boroughs. Many new surnames have been added to the database!
