Adding my Irish NYC List: BARRY, RYAN,WALL, MCSHEA, MCGRATH,SWEENEY, MCDADE,MCLAUGHLIN.
Hi Mary, I also have the names of Ryan and Wall in my Connors family research. Do the names of Johanna Wall, Edmund or Elizabeth McCellan Wall or Mary Ryan, Timothy, Thomas, or Michael Ryan mean anything to you? These families could be found either in New York or Illinois. I am researching my gg grandmother, Margaret CLANCY. She was married to George SIMONS, and I do not know if the marriage lasted, or they later separated in life. Margaret and George had three children that I know of, Elizabeth, Mary J(ane), and a son, Zachiariah. The three children are buried in our family plot in Brooklyn, but I have no idea where Margaret or George are buried. Please help me find the answer to my brickwall, and also who the parents of Margaret CLANCY were, as well as her siblings. Thank you. Susan Hantke-Ogden s1036503010@mindspring.com

Let's keep each other's information and see what we come up with down the road. I suspect John Shannon's father may have been Martin. Nora Lynch's father was Martin, but this family was too tradition-oriented NOT to name the first son for the father's father ..... unless John did not know his father's name. Vincent McCue would hav been born ca. 1890, I believe. Mary PRICE was born about 1845 in Ireland. She immigrated to NYC and was married before 1868 - but I've no evidence of either event. She married John MacINTOSH - who'd been born about 1842 in Scotland. He too immigrated to NYC before 1868. John & Mary MacINTOSH had two (known) children born in NY, NY William Price MacINTOSH in 1868 and John MacINTOSH in abt 1870. William Price MacINTOSH married Mary McKEE about 1898. Mary McKEE was the daughter of Andrew McKEE & Mary HOGAN. She was born 1876 and 1880 the family lived at 39 Spring St, NY, NY. Mary's father Andrew McKEE was born about 1833 in Red Hills, Co Cavan, Ireland. He was a sail maker. His brother Thomas McKEE also lived on Spring St. Thomas was a coach maker. Mary's mother Mary HOGAN was born about 1837 in NYC. She was the dtr of Michael HOGAN & Johanna NOONAN. The HOGAN family also lived on Spring St - & I believe another daughter married Thomas McKEE. As the years went on, these families all moved further uptown - to the area of 110 St.
Have you checked St. John's Cemetery in Queens? No particular reason, just that my Irish folk (Leddy, McDonald, McCarthy) are buried there (19th c.). Good luck, Sara
Don, if she was removed from the city perhaps she was buried across the river in NJ. That's where I found some of my family buried. Several years ago I went the the cemetary and the caretaker there told me that there was a ferry that would take people from NY to NJ in Jersery City. They would have picnics and such as they sold the cemetary plots. So you might want to check there. The cemetary mine went to was NY Bay Cemetary. Ellen Q

You'll do much better starting with yourself and working backwards, getting b-m-d certificates and naturalizations on the relatives as you go along. It should become pretty apparent after awhile.
