I would appreciate if the look up is still on, Catherine McCarthy and Thomas Kavanaugh. They would've lived in the Hell's Kitchen part of NYC. Thank you. Please look up the following names. They were from Co Fermanagh. Francis A.Clark(e) abt.1870 Patrick Clark(e) abt.1866 Ann Clark(e) abt.1868 Mary Ann Clark(e) 1911 Patrick Murphy 1904 Thank you. Annie
Frank, A google search (occupation cartman census)gives many examples Known children of WILLIAM BRYAN and MARTHA (unknown): 1. Rose Ann born about 1812 Ireland; died 31 Jan 1890 Geneva NY; married before 1845 in Ireland Abraham Thornton as his second wife; born about 1804; died 23 Mar 1869. They migrated to America arriving at New York City 2 Dec 1846 on ship ST. GEORGE with their family which included children from Abraham's prior marriage. Abraham is buried in Washington Street Cemetery, Geneva NY. +2. WILLIAM born about 1825 North Ireland; died between 29 July 1870 and 24 June 1875; his burial place is not known; married SARAH JANE WILSON born 11 May 1833 Scotland; died 8 May 1889; daughter of John Wilson and Sarah (unknown). It is not known if they married in Ireland or if William found romance soon after arriving in America. William worked as a laborer and one of his occupations was as a cartman delivering goods with a horse and cart. Sarah, commonly called Jane, is buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Geneva NY. Sarah left a will dated 23 Feb 1889 recorded in Ontario County, copy attached. By deed dated 10 Oct 1865, Lot 5 and 6 on the north side of Cortland Street, Geneva NY was purchased for $175. Liber 133; P 319. It is a bit mysterious as the deed was executed by only "Jane Bryan" and from the census of 1870, we know that William was still living no 2 extracted example Thomas H Parker Born: 1881 Spouse: Children: Occupation: 1901 Census shows that he was a Cartman for a Grocer. 1881 Census shows that he was 2 months of age, born in Allendale, Northumberland and living in High Stobb, Allendale, Northumberland. 1901 Census shows that he was 20 years of age, born in Allendale, Northumberland and living in Allendale, Northumberland. Hi Yvonne, I found no information on Winfield S. Brown or John S. Donnelly. I am not sure of the dates you gave me. The bank record at this time only go up to 1883. So nothing from the 1900s is listed. Sorry I could not have been of more help Diane K
Hi Annie, I did not find any of the of the people you were looking for. I found the same names but none were from county Fermanagh and the dates did not match. Please be aware that the books only go up to 1883. So Mary Ann Clark and Patrick Murphy would not have been found based on the dates you gave for their arrival. Sorry I could have been of more help. Diane K

Was the Emigrant bank located in NYC or Brooklyn? Found my greatgrandfather, Patrick Higgins', account listed along with other good information. I would like to try to locate him in the Brooklyn 1865 census record IF the street he lived on (Washington St) was in Brooklyn (there's also one in NYC). Thought that the location of the bank might throw some light on whether he lived in NYC or Brooklyn. Also, need to locate records for the ship he arrived on in 1863, the "Universe". Where is the best place to start looking? I am overjoyed as this family has been a brickwall for many, many years. Pat
Diane, I might be to late for this look up but, Winfield S. BROWN and his wife, Elizabeth BROWN lived in Manhattan in 1910. Their oldest children at that time are Grace (age 20) and Robert (age 18). John S. DONNELLY and his wife, Julia DONNELLY lived in Manhattan in 1900. Their oldest children at that time are John S (age 18) and Edward (age 16). If you have the time I would very much appreciate your help. Thank you. Yvonne
Could you please look up Patrick Lawless.
