In case you were wondering where your New York Lord Mayor has been for the past few days well he has been to Sligo to unveil Irelands national memorial to the Fighting 69th Regiment of the US army and Brigadier Michael Corcoran at Ballymote Sligo. A flag of the 69th regiment hangs in the Dail (Irish Parliament). Steel from the World Trade Centre is encased in the base of the new monument at Ballymote. I note from time to time mention of the fighting 69th thus I mention the above as it may be of interest to certain people on the list who have an interest with the 69th Regiment.
