Has anyone seen an obituary for James Davey? His burial record at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ, says he died on March 17, 1926. He didn't die anywhere in NJ, as several searches in the State records at Trenton turned up nothing. No obituary or death notice was printed in the Jersey Journal, so no clues there. He was said to have been born in Co. Sligo, 1865-66, to Michael and Bridget (possibly Walsh, but not confirmed). He married my great-grandmother Margaret Foley Coughlin in 1895 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City. He was listed in the city directory through 1904, but disappeared after that. My grandmother's wedding invitation did not list James as "requesting the honour" etc, only Mrs. Margaret Davey. Jeanne __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
