Irish Friends: I am still searching for a funeral write up or an obituary on the death of my great great grandfather, John MURPHY, who died on 15 April 1885 in Clermont, Iowa. His is buried in the St. Peter's cemetery, Clermont. He was born circa 1790. He does have a "footstone" that only says John. He lived with his son, Michael Murphy. I know there is some relative/family friend out there who has some write up with information about him ( actual birth date and birth place). He came to the USA around circa 1851, from County Kerry, in the Ballyferriter area, and probably the township of Ballynahow. Please contact me if you know about him. Margie Murphy Monihan
