Has anyone seen an obituary for James Davey? His burial record at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ, says he died on March 17, 1926. He didn't die anywhere in NJ, as several searches in the State records at Trenton turned up nothing. No obituary or death notice was printed in the Jersey Journal, so no clues there. He was said to have been born in Co. Sligo, 1865-66, to Michael and Bridget (possibly Walsh, but not confirmed). He married my great-grandmother Margaret Foley Coughlin in 1895 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City. He was listed in the city directory through 1904, but disappeared after that. My grandmother's wedding invitation did not list James as "requesting the honour" etc, only Mrs. Margaret Davey. Jeanne __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Good morning, Looking for the obituary of William LYNCH, his wifes name was Alice they had 7 children that I am aware of. Their names were Ann, Martin, Mary, Catharine, John, Rose and Ellen. William, Alice, Ann and Martin were all born in Ireland, have yet to find their home there. In 1850 they are in Oneida county NY. Martin and John were in Cass county MO in 1870, Rose was also there in 1880 where she was married. I cannot place William and Alice in Missouri at that time........ Any help with this search would be greatly appreciated. Jacqueline jacroing67@aol.com
Hi, I'm new to this list. My interests are: William ROBINSON, born in 1810, who may be from Scotland but part of my family says he was from Hull, England. Also his wife Jane DICKSON, born in 1814, from Scotland. The family called her Lady Jane for some reason. William and Jane were both immigrants to USA where they were married in 1837. Any and all clues, info, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! Sophia

Irish Friends: I am still searching for a funeral write up or an obituary on the death of my great great grandfather, John MURPHY, who died on 15 April 1885 in Clermont, Iowa. His is buried in the St. Peter's cemetery, Clermont. He was born circa 1790. He does have a "footstone" that only says John. He lived with his son, Michael Murphy. I know there is some relative/family friend out there who has some write up with information about him ( actual birth date and birth place). He came to the USA around circa 1851, from County Kerry, in the Ballyferriter area, and probably the township of Ballynahow. Please contact me if you know about him. Margie Murphy Monihan

Looking for obituaries of family named Mulvey in Boston from 1869 to 1918. They came from Athleague, County Roscommon, Ireland, and settled in Boston. They would be my gggrandparents, but I don't know any of their names, only that they disinherited their daughter Honora (my ggrandmother) upon her marriage in 1869. There was also another child named Thomas who was still alive in 1886. Pls respond to powermark@earthlink.net. Many thanks. Dear List, Just found out my lucky cousin got assigned to work in Dublin and flew over there yesterday! Can everyone please give me places he can go (with addresses if you have them, please) and any ideas to get more of our family's Irish history. I hope to have lots of pictures. We are from Frenchpark, Roscommon area, researching McGarry's and Coll's. He is not as enthusiastic as I am, but then I don't think anyone in our family is! He is very happy at my meager progress and willing to help. He will be there till December and I can't think of a better family member to help with research from except me..... wish it was me going, well someday. The best to everyone of you and thanks for being out there. Timothy McGarry
