    1. Re: Tithes Records
    2. Mary, Are you saying there are two lists for the Tithe? I was looking at the Tithe Applotment records. The records I looked at were taken between 1824 and 1832. I have looked at the tithe records in Down, Clare, Limerick, Cork and Mayo. The Turlough Parish in Mayo was the only place that didn't lists the occupiers (tenants). If there are two lists, why didn't the man at the archives in Dublin mention that? He seemed very knowledgeable. Thanks. Nora >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi All, The Tithe witholders list only listed those people who didn't pay the tithes, but there is also the Tithe Listing which lists all of the people the Tithes were levelled on. All are listed on this one and it also gives acerage, etc. Its was taken, I think around 1824. I know that it exists for County Tipperary, don't know about other counties. Cheers Mary
