    2. Marilyn, I'm even more far removed that you. My father's paternal cousin Elizabeth Fahey, married Thomas Hogan in 1923. They had one child, John Michael (b. April 1928). Elizabeth died in 1958. Don't know anything about the husband but the son died November 2000 in Harvard IL. Wrote to an address in Harvard but never received a response. Couldn't tell from where in Ireland the Hogans came because Thomas was born in Illinois. Nora >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi Nora: I have been searching in Chicago for Hogans also. It was my mother in law's maiden name, and do not know what part of Ireland it is from. Her father's name was Brisbane Hogan born in South Carolina. His father emigrated from Ireland, but no source is listed. Any connection? Good luck in DC Marilyn Shanahan

    3. Nora: I guess we will never know their Irish background. My Hogan was born in South Carolina, an only son, and I guess there may be a possibility that your Thomas is a distant relative, since the Hogans were from Illinois, and Harvard is not too far from Chicago. Maybe someday we will find out. Good luck.
