One, the priest is not ordained to do geneological research and record finding. 2) go to a person who has that expertise which the priest does not have. Spend a few euros and hire a professional geneologist to do geneology and let the priest do what he does shepherd his flock, visit the sick, bury the dead, pray the Mass and care for the people of Ireland.
