    1. Up date from Otherdays.com about the printing
    2. Technical Update Release Ireland of Otherdays.com 26th April 2004 Otherdays.com would like to bring to your attention that we are experiencing technical difficulties over our printing function. This is a temporary issue and our goal is to have it fixed before the week is out. The problem is stemming from Microsoft no longer supporting the JAVA script and this has started to create problems for new computer owners and/or online content provider who used the state of art program at the time of development. We thought we had it the problem already resolves so our customer's would not experience this problem. We learn differently over this past weekend. Again, Otherdays is sold based on the customer/library patron being able to print everything except for the photographs and maps (except for Civil and Catholic Parish maps may be printed) regardless of how the person access the database. Otherdays understands how important the print function is to Irish researchers to help speed their search process. We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this technical growth process we are experiencing. As always contact about this or any other question can be directed to kharrison@otherdays.com or harrisonkim@sbcglobal.net. A quick reminder that Ireland of Otherdays.com is up to 112 titles and continues to grow at a new title per week. Please sign up for our free online newsletter which will keep you posted to new title releases and tips on searching back in Ireland. The newsletter is authored by Francis Dowling of Ireland. You wrote: "to create problems for new computer owners and/or online content provider who used the state of art program at the time of development" I have a 4or 5 year old computer running on Windows 98 and use IE on a dial up modem. I cannot print from Otherdays even though I could in the past. It is not just problems with new computers. I sure wish I had one ;-). ----- Original Message ----- From: <KSHtrains@aol.com> To: <IRISH-AMERICAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 26, 2004 8:13 AM Subject: [Irish-American] Up date from Otherdays.com about the printing > Technical Update Release > Ireland of Otherdays.com > 26th April 2004 > > > Otherdays.com would like to bring to your attention that we are experiencing > technical difficulties over our printing function.
