Wonder if anyone has come across a Washington A. Devaney. Found on 1880 Census for Blount Co. AL at age 54, Born in NC. Suspect he was my grandfather but can find him nowhere else thus far. He was married in 1880 to Annie S. Amerson Cassell. 2nd Husband to Annie with 3 daughters in household by name of Devaney but suspect 2 if not all of the girls belonged to Annie and Calvin Cassell. Believe after the census of 1880 my grandmother, Fayenettie J. Devaney was born. Due to the 1890 census being unavailable and the fact that by 1900 she was married with her first child I am unable to place her in the home of her father. Any info on the family of Washington A. Devaney is desired. My mother knew a lot of Irish folk tales but never imparted any info about her grandpa and since she and her mother died at an early age I am against MY Brick Wall. Marie K. Burt
