There's a book called Images of America, Troy written by Don Rittner that's 128 pages of just pictures of the City. It includes: Cityscapes, Landmarks and Views of Troy Troy's Industries and Merchants Transportation and Movement Institutions: Charitable, Educational, Religious and Civic People and Events Recreation and Leisure Disasters The book also has a map of downtown Troy from 1858 which was before the great fire of 1862 which the book says burned most of the downtown business district. There's not much street detail on the map however, just images of structures. Some really great pictures. Troy was a major location for thousands of Irish emigrants with many from Co.
