    2. Genealogy.com has a site by state. Go to the Pennsylvania Genealogy Forum and enter the name you're searching. If no one else is searching, add your message. Also, the LDS Family Search has the 1880 Census. You could enter Joseph Hartman's name and he could be in that census as a child. I checked it and there are quite a few. Helen Gallo PA

    2. Have you tried Rootsweb.com? If you have a computer at home you can log on to Rootsweb and follow the instructions by putting in the name of the person whom you are researching and perhaps someone else is looking for the same family. If not, it doesn't cost you anything. I was going to try it but right now my computer is not accepting a log on to Rootsweb. Just temperamental I think. If I find anything I will let you know. Marge

First child Agnes was born in the year 1895. Other children were Ann, Rose, Joseph Jr, Casey, Dottie, George. All off the above people were born and lived in Pennsylvania. If anyone can find this record please advise and even if you look and cannot find please reply to me so I can learn. Thanks in advance for your time!

    3. SNIPPET: Of the" Northern Ireland Children's Project," Mary McALEESE, President of Ireland, states: "I commend the vital work of Children's Project at this critical time in our history and I hope that they can continue to work towards a healthy and prosperous society where diversity of tradition and culture are embraced." NICP, an American-based not-for-profit organization is concerned about the future of the young people who have long been victims of civil strife. Dedicated staff bring Protestant and Catholic children together through weekend visits and a summer camp at Fellowship House, a beautiful eight-bedroom home in the coastal town of Ballycastle. They also transport the young people to weeknight activities at the community center in Belfast for swimming, volleyball, soccer and just socializing. With the help of trained facilitators, they conduct a series of conflict resolution sessions where the children learn to better understand one another and gain trust.! A study on the long-term effect of the program by Belfast's Queens University concluded the children who had completed the project were clearly more tolerant, more self-confident and successful in their work career and personal lives. Irish Children's Fund, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization that fosters understanding between Protestant and Catholic youngsters in the troubled areas of Belfast. Both non-political and interdenominational, ICF has enriched the lives of over 3,000 children since its founding in 1982. As part of the ICF's reconcilitation program, 150 twelve-year-olds from Belfast's segregated neighborhoods are selected each year to spend a five-week summer holiday in the United States. Represented in equal numbers, many of these Protestant and Catholic children bear the scars of deep historical hatred. Hosted by American families, the youngsters participate in ao wide range of recreational activities, including a summer camp that uses team games to build trust and encourage cooperation. When they return to Belfast, the reconciliation progress continues with get-togethers and a summer camp. Years later, the children return to the United States to take part in a voluntary work program! and renew the relationships they have developed.

    3. The ship's log was just recently discovered and at an expected sale price of £150k it's hard to determine if the contents will be made public. I don't know what museum might have that kind of money to purchase it but we'll have to see what transpires after the sale has taken place. 1. Marquis Cornwallis Ships Log
    2. Eilis O'Hara
    3. The 654 ton Marquis Cornwallis set sail from Cork to New South Wales in 1795 and carried 244 Irish men and women prisoners. There was a revolt on the ship prompted by intolerable conditions suffered by the passengers who were chained below decks and frequently fell victim to disease. Captain Michael Hogan who was born in Co. Clare in 1766 was the ship's captain and quelled the mutiny. Hogan made his fortune as a slave trader and merchant and the ship's log reveals the aftermath of the mutiny. Hogan settled in New York in 1804 and bought a mansion on the Hudson River. He went on to found the town of Hogansburg in northern New York State and later became the first US Consul to Chile. The log is to be auctioned in London and is expected to realise as much as £150k. 2. Eilis O'Hara
    3. The song "Rose of Tralee" was written by William Pembroke Mulchinock, the son of a wealthy Tralee merchant, Michael Mulchinock and Margaret McCann Mulchinock, for Mary O'Connor of Brogue Lane in Tralee ca 1843. The Mulchinocks lived in West Villa. Mary's mother was an O'Sullivan from Green Lane. Her father was a brogue maker. Mary was the nurse for William's sister, Maria's children.
