Hello All, I am new to the list, having just discovered a new surname. I am wondering whether anyone knows which part of Ireland the surname HOULLAGAN belongs to. My grandmothers name was HUELIN, from the Channel Islands. I have since found her parents to have been called HOULLAGAN and the name was changed to Huelin. I don't know why. She knows they were Irish but doesn't know which part of Ireland. Hopefully some one can help me - any suggestions or advice on how to go about searching for this name are gratefully appreciated!
