She was chosen "Leitrim ICA Lady of the Year in 1987." Pictured was fiddler and concert flutist Mick Clancy, Cloonaquinn (three miles from Manorhamilton), whose brother and father were also fiddle players. There is a group photo of individuals who played reels, jigs, hornpipes on various instruments - Maureen Doran, Carrick; Peter Horan, Gurteen; Teresa Smullen, Paddy Smullen and Mick Woods, Drumshanbo.
