This is my first posting to this List and I am looking for help to knock down a high brick wall. I realize that it is asking a lot but is there anyone who is able to help me locate the birth place of Robert MURRAY who was born somewhere in Ireland in 1838. This birth date is calculated from the 1881 Birmingham, England census where he was living with his family at that time so could be off a year in either direction. I have read about the destruction of Irish records and would appreciate it if someone will let me know if this is an impossible task I've set myself. Thank you for your time.
