Could it be instead Agee, a French Huguenot name that was introduced into England at the time of the Glorious Revolution? Hi Frank, Thank you for your reply... what an interesting idea. The honest answer is I have absolutely no idea. There is a theory that Adgey is derived from the Huguenot name D'Assigney, but I have no proof of that either. All I know is that it seems that my 3rd G. Grandfather was Irish... that's all I have.
