Hi Listers I've now been researching my family tree for about two years now but have brickwalled on both my father's and mother's lines at about 1800 when I reach my Irish ancestors. I do know that my dad's side, the MCKAYS hailed from Armagh and I have been in contact with the records office there who unfortunately did not come up with any information. Can SKS out there point me in the right direction to find out more about how to research my Irish ancestors. I also know that my GG grandmother came from Derry. The names I'm researching are:- MCKAY: MCMANUS: MOLLOY;REILLY: SLAVEN: FLINN; AND GALLACHER
Nolly, I haven't even been able to find out how to determine where my Haviland (or whatever spelling) ancestors came from in Ireland. I'm trying to work from the U.S. end of things and all kinds of records seem to be missing, so I sympathize. If you don't give up, I won't! LOL..Linda Haviland
