Could someone provide the complete location of "Golden Tipperary" Thank you.
Golden, County Tipperary is near Cashel on the river Suir. It is in the vicinity of an old abbey, Athassal Abbey I believe. It is just within the area known as the Golden Vale, but is a separate town. Quite small. The centre of County Tipperary is known as 'the Golden Vale', a fertile stretch of land in the basin of the River Suir, which crosses the county from north to south. Tipperary is bound by mountains to the south and west with a border on Lough Derg in the north thus offering a superb range of outdoor activities for visitors and locals alike. I will have to leave the exact location to the map experts but I am also imagining that this is what you mean CARA ----- Original Message ----- From: <IreNamConnection@aol.com> To: <IRELAND-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 4:21 AM Subject: [Irish-Roots] Golden Tipperary? > Could someone provide the complete location of "Golden Tipperary" Thank > you. > > > ==== IRELAND-ROOTS Mailing List ==== > Plant your Irish roots here! > > ============================== > Search the US Census Collection.
