Think I need some professional help. After a couple of years I am no closer to finding the birthplace of my ancestors. The facts are. William Elliott was born on the 21st June 1825 and his wife Jane Wear/Weir on the 16th October 1827. (Information from family bible). In 1851 they told the census man in Old Monklands Scotland that they were born in Ireland. They listed their religion as Presbyterian and his trade as Collier Cannot find anylistings in Ireland or Scotland of their births and don't know whereelse to look.
