Hello, I've been trying to find where my ggrandfather James GOGERTY comes from in Ireland (1868). I have the name of the ship he arrived in the US on and I even found him on the 1880 US census. All it says is, born in Ireland on both. I've looked into other GOGERTYs with no luck either. Some are from Dublin, Meath and Louth. Any suggestion where to go from here? I'd appreciate it.
