Hi there everyone, I am researching my Gebbie/Gabbey family of County Down. I am having trouble locating information on following family - can anyone help me? Hugh Gebbie (weaver) b.1826 married Elizabeth Davis (seamstress) 1850 Ballyblack. They had 4 children to my knowledge as follows: Mary (spinster d.1888) Elizabeth Jane (Liza Jane) married John Davis (widower/tailor) 1893 Ballyblack they had a daughter called Lily Davis. Hugh (railway guard Bangor) married Margaret Smith 1884. Thomas Moore (coal merchant and joiner) married Hannah Monkhouse. They had four children to my knowledge as follows: John Monkhouse Gebbie b.1885 (Traveller), Thomas Moore Gebbie b.1883 (plasterer), Lily and George. I would be pleased to hear from anyone researching these names to see if we could link up. I am also looking for gravestone inscriptions for them, if anyone can help with that.
