Is there a Census Index, or series of same, for Ireland in the Census year 1841? hello jean- I have never previously come across the name Gogerty/Gogarty and I dont know what area you are situated in however I have looked up some indexes which refer to the name and county of origin; Matthew Gogarty of Dublin and his brother Patrick 1848) John Gogurty parish Anniskinne - co Meath and his brother Matthew 1856 Mathew Gogarty of Dublin and Joseph Quinn 1860 William Gogerty living Illinois and his brother in law William Gorey of parish Kilbride - co Meath 1857 Patrick - Bartle annd Lawrence Gogerty from Girly co Meath and their uncle William he was living in Illinois 1860 P. F.
