Just as a word of warning, The Church of Latter Day Saints database is full of errors and incorrect information. (located at www.familysearch.org). It is a good place to get CLUES...but do not take the family trees that are provided there as absolute fact. They have never had very stringent rules when it comes to people providing information to them. For that reason, if one person places a family tree with errors in it, people tend to copy it and copy it and copy it...perpetuating the errors. If someone has not provided reference to legitimate sources on there, just use the information as a possible clue and then go on to find the proof yourself.
Hi Marsha, 'Tis' true. Thanks for warning. I'd heard this warning years ago but had forgotten about it. Although, the information I did find on some of my ancestors (on the site) was correct as I did have legal documents to check info against. But others have found erroneous 'data'. Thanks again for the warning. Jacquie Marsha Sears wrote: >Just as a word of warning, The Church of Latter Day Saints database is full of errors and incorrect information.
