Hi everyone, I am researching my Irish roots and have come to a blank wall back around 1840 in Manchester. My Great Grandparents, Michael (1811) and Alice Connor (1815), came from Ireland to Manchester and based on the 1861 census, they were born approximately in years shown in brackets. There is no marriage record in the English indexes so assume they were married in Ireland - but where? I appreciate that 'Connor' is a very common surname in Ireland but Alice's mainden name PHAIR is very uncommon. Is there anyone out there who might know something about Alice Phair?
