First of all - hi everyone! I am new to this list and desperately in need of help! I am searching for the family of my gr-gr-grandfather Patrick O'Connor who was from Aclare in Co. Sligo. Patrick, and his brother John (at least at the moment we are assuming they are brothers) came over from Ireland to Bradford in the UK sometime around 1870 - Patrick married Bridgett O'Rourke in 1875 and his brother married her sister Catherine soon after. Patrick appears to have been born in 1848 although his death certificate was altered shortly after his death and it could actually be 1843. His brother John appears to have been born in 1855 - the 1881 census shows him as 23/6 - both are listed as masons labourers. I obtained the marriage certificate of Patrick and his father is listed as Michael Connor - Farmer. So, if anyone has a Michael Connor/O'Connor in Aclare who had 2 sons Patrick and John that have gone missing can you please let me know!
