I have just found my first Irish ancestor and not sure how to proceed, and wonder if anyone has any ideas please. Mary TURLEY married John STANYARD in St Peters, Wolverhampton UK, on 21.06.1836. Census records say she came from Ireland. I do not know the names of her parents or when and where she arrived in mainland Britain. I think she would have been born about 1818. Mary had a son called Thomas born 8 June 1846 in the UK, where the address on his birth certificate is given as Brook St, Bilston [Staffordshire] If the census returns are incorrect, then on IGI I have found : bapt. 16.06.1816 at St Peters, Wton, da. of Job & Margaret TURLEY or, bapt. 14.01.1816, Dudley Worcs, da. of Zephania & Mary TURLEY with thanks best wishes Penelope Carter
