Hi Listers, I wonder, can anyone help me locate a George GERGISON? He was born in Londonderry in either 1806 or 1809. Served in Her Majesties 95th (Derbyshire) Regiment, migrated to Tasmania in 1851, and died in Hobart in 1889. Wife was Mary MURPHY, and they had several children, including: GERGISON, Catherine B 21 Feb 1858 GERGISON, George D 1877 TAS GERGISON, Margaret Eleanor M 1870 TAS Sp: Henry COULSON GERGISON, Susan M 1873 TAS Sp: Michael DALUCE I am interested in this man as the possible son of Jorgen JORGENSEN, "King of Iceland". Name of his first wife/girlfriend not currently known ... he later married Norah COBBET (CORBETT) in Tasmania. (Norah was also Irish, and had an illegitimate daughter, Mary MacDonald).
