    3. John, I am not in Canada, I'm in Florida. I have no idea where my Mary O'Connor came from in Ireland. The only thing I know is that she was born in December of 1852 in Ireland and came to the USA sometime before 1875. She also had a brother, William O'Connor born in 1863 living with the Mills family in the 1880 census in New York City. Hope this information helps. 2. I know the who and the where of my OConnor's and Connors back to the late seventeen hundreds. What I am looking for are all the others who left Ireland before 1990 and have disappeared from the family record. The fact you are in Canada does not rule your Mary OConnor out. I will see if we have a Mary in that time period. Do you know what county Mary came from? You said all your OConnor's came to Canada but you show Mary going to NY? John was the brother of my 5th great grandmother Johanna McClelland. Don't know if this will be helpful for someone, hopefully it will be. Judy

    2. Thank you!!!! I wondered if anyone was going to come up with the main reason so many people left Scotland to go to Ireland. Mine stayed a good many years in Ireland and raised a family before coming to the USA with all his adult children. One son came before his father and bought land in Washington DC. (Foggy Bottom) They must not have been to poor to be able to purchase land when they arrived here. If anyone is researching the sirname RUSK please contact me. Margie in MD
