Searching for any information on a William Daugherty/Dougherty. Would like to know where in Ireland he came from. We know he probably came to America in the 1760s married a Mary ? (possibly Wright) and lived in NJ. Had 8 children born in NJ. Family moved to NY state then on to Ohio. Anyone researching this couple or any of their children, William, John, Sarah, Valena (Lena), Lemuel, Daniel or Thomas I would like to hear from them. Also are there any records left in Ireland from the 1700s? If so how could I locate them. Thanks for any help. Peig
