Hi, Seeking any links with Holmes family from Kilkenny City, Kilkenny. Especially any Holmes family with a connection to Dean Street. My Great Great Grandfather was Joseph Holmes born 1860 Kilkenny On his wedding certificate, August 30th 1880, St.Canices RC Church, Kilkenny, his occupation is given as carpenter. His father is noted as Michael Holmes, Farmer, deceased. On the birth certificate of son Michael, dated 1886, Joseph's occupation is listed as Carpenter and the family is living in Dean Street, Kilkenny. On the 1901 British Census Joseph's occupation is listed as Joiner / Carpenter. He is living with his family at 19-23 Tontine Street, St.Helens. He is aged 41. Anyone with a connection out there??
