    2. Wayne County Pennsylvania Herald Jeffrey O'CONNELL from the Nov 8, 1907 issue. Jeffery O'CONNELL died suddenly at his home on Terrace St., Thursday, shortly before noon in the 70th year of his age.   Deceased was born in Cork, Ireland 1837.   On July 4th, 1853 he came to America and settled in Wayne County.   The next day he was apprenticed by William HURLEY, blacksmith, Waymart.  After learning his trade at that place he came to Honesdale, and in 1859 entered partnership with his brother, Timothy.   In 1872 they dissolved, Jeffery continuing the business at the stand, corner of 5th & Main St., while his brother located on the opposite side of the street.  Mr. O'CONNELL, the deceased, conducted his shop until a year ago, when the stand was leased to William Rogers, who now has charge of the shop.  Mr. O'CONNELL has been ailing the past few months, but was seen upon the street election day, having cast his vote as usual.  He is survived by three daughters, Misses Ella, Kate and Agatha, all living at home, also by one son, John, of New York City.  His wife died a few years ago.  He is also survived by one brother, John, of this place and two sisters, Mrs. Hannah MULQUEEN, of Hawley, and Mrs. Patrick McNALLY, of Honesdale.  As yet no funeral arrangements have been made. Note: Jeffrey O'CONNELL parents were Jeffrey and Mary RYAN O'CONNELL; his siblings included Timothy b 1834, John b c 1840 all born in County Cork and Nellie b 1870 and Anna/Hannah b 1876 in Honesdale, Wayne County, PA.
