Who is looking for connections for ancestors from County Down? How about you post your roll calls. Of course, if you are looking for connections for other counties, it is okay for you, too, to post your roll calls. Just yesterday I found another Flynn cousin who had information I didn't have after ten years of researching the family...how about another brother in Ohio and two other sisters in MA...it made my day! My cousin found me on the internet from posts I had made two years ago. Good ways to make roll calls: 1. put surname in subject line 2. be brief 3. give timeline but not a lot of dates 4. give area from where they originated if known 5. if they emigrated, give area where they emigrated to 6. be brief Notice I put, 'be brief' twice and I can't stress this enough. If your roll call is long and involved, it just won't get read, even if it is a surname of interest to the reader. All you need is enough info were the reader can recognize if your family 'might' just fit with their family. When that happens, you contact the poster off list and compare info and that will be the time to get into the minute details. Good luck in your search. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com All outgoing mail virus free, scanned by Norton
