NEED HELP A letter dated 23rd March 1846 from agent of the Clainwilliam esstate to the landlord, General Meade in England reads, "An application has been made to me by John Savage of Bridge Quarter (parish of Kilcoo) for a transfer to Michael Rae on the hill for the land old Savage and his son John were successively posses sed off as he Savage os fpr America." Where is/was Clanwilliam estate and Bridge Quarter located in 1846? Was Bridge Quarter a townland or just the name of a farm?
