    1. McKee, Roddie, Nesbitt
    2. I am looking for info on these families. My 3rd great-grandfather was John McKee and he was born about 1816 in Co. Down. I realize this is vague but it is all I have. I believe that his father was Thomas McKee but I don't have his mother's name. John McKee married Margaret Roddie, who was a daughter of James Roddie and Elnor Nesbitt. John and Margaret had 2 sons, Thomas and George, before 1846. In 1846, John, his wife and 2 sons left Ireland on the ship Helen Thompson which arrived in the spring of 1847 to Canada. Margaret was pregnant with their first set of twins during and after the journey. The family lived in St. Johns, NB, Canada. They also had 3 more children: John, and twins, Ellen and William. The oldest boy, Thomas McKee, was my 2nd great-grandfather. He married a girl by the name of Sarah. I do not know her maiden name. They had 5 children: Inez, Thomas, George, Lily, and Walter. George Ira McKee was my great-grandfather. He married Jennie Bartlett and they had 13 children: Vern, Allie, Thomas, Garfield, David, (twins) Lawrence and Florence, Charlotte, Eva, Laura, Rita, Stella, and Fred. David Emil McKee was my grandfather. He was born 21 Jan 1910 in Calais, Maine and he died 13 Jan 1973 in Houlton, Maine. He married my grandmother, Velma Morrison, in 1928 or so. (They never told anyone their anniversary). They had 3 children: Kenneth, Darleen, and Brian. Their daughter, Darleen McKee, is my mother. Feel free to contact me with any info. Thanks!
