*JOHN SULLIVAN, my gr-gfr., of Tralee / Curraheen, County Kerry, Ireland, was born in 1817. John was the son of: Catherine CONNOR & JEREMIAH SULLIVAN. Jeremiah, my gr-gr-gfr. was the son of: JOHN SULLIVAN, my gr-gr-gr-gfr., & Julia SHEA. (I'm almost positive.) My gr-gfr., *JOHN SULLIVAN, married Mary O'CONNOR sometime in the 1850s, and had three children: Mary, Hannah and James, while still living in Ireland. They immigrated in the late 1860s to the U.S., and lived in various manufacturing cities throughout the northeast. John worked as a weaver in numerous textile mills. His and Mary's second son, Joseph A., was born in 1871, in the area of Scranton, PA. Their next son, Stephen, was born in Jewett City, CT in 1873. Their sixth and final child, Johanna, was born circa 1875, in the Worcester, MA area. The family finally settled in New Bedford, MA in the late 1880s, where they lived, married, raised their children and died. Please contact me if you have an interest in this family.
