    3. I am researching the above name would be interested in hearing from anyone with the same interest to share information. Such information as I have so far: My Grandfather. Richard Christopher Bowen ( sometimes called Robert or Bob ) born 11/12/1878. Baptised at Ss Peter and Paul Cork City, 24/12/1878. Joined the Royal Field Artillery 1898 in Dublin (service number 28032) Corporal Wheeler. Married Florence Sabina Richards 26/07/1907 Shotter Mill, Surrey. Two children, Kathleen (b.1909) Phyllis (b.1911) Died 08/07/1910, Kirkee, India from beri beri. He had an elder brother who was in the Royal Army Service Corps. He may have been called Vincent. His father, Jeramiah, was a boot maker and at some point around the turn of the century, lived at 16 Grattan Street, Cork. His mother was Alice Fitzgerald. This may seem a lot but it all refers to a narrow band of time (1878 - 1910) and I have hit a brick wall at the earlier end. A lot of basic research in Cork has helped produce this information but the trail cuts off there in Cork. It seems likely that the family came from outside the city but where? Due to the feeling of the time, I am fairly certain that Richards family cut both him and his brother out of their lives completely when they joined the British Army. Any chance he had of a reconciliation was killed when he died so young. den The purpose of the icons, the purpose of the entire OS X look and feel, is to keep the customer happy during that critical period between the time of sale and the time the check clears.
