    3. Searching for Co. Cork info on: William SCOTT [b. 1774 Ire - d 1858 MA] and wife Jane CARROLL [dates, loc unknown]. Religion possibly Catholic. One or both may have immigrated 1840's-50's to Boston area or RI. Their three known SCOTT daughters: 1) Mary SCOTT (? - ?) mar. 1820's-30's?, possibly W or NW Co. Cork, to James [or Daniel] REGAN (? - ?). Loc not known; did they stay in Ire, or immigrate to USA or elsewhere? Their 2 sons bapt. Inchigeelagh RC parish, Co. Cork: Daniel REGAN 1835, and John REGAN 1837. Their dau Margaret REGAN (b ca. 1843 Co. Cork -192 WI); mar in Co. Cork Cornelius MAHONEY (1837 - 1906); Margaret, Con and most of their children immig to IL 1880's. 2) Jane or Johanna SCOTT, (b. ca. 1817 Co. Cork - d. 18 May 1897 Springfield, Hampden Co. MA), married twice: Jane 's 1st mar, Ire or MA? to: Michael COHAN or KEOHANE (b. ca.1811 Co. Cork - d. 1859 Springfield, Hampden Co. MA), tailor. Their 5 children included Jeremiah COHAN, Civil War orderly, vaudeville entertainer MA, RI & CT; one grandson was George M. COHAN, entertainer, songwriter & Broadway producer. Jane /Johanna's 2nd mar, 13 Oct 1869 Springfield MA to: Bartholomew HOWARD (b.ca.1813 Ire - d. 26 Oct 1898 MA) No known children, but stepchildren from Bartholomew's first marriage. 3)Catherine SCOTT (b.Co. Cork?Ire ca. 1827) - d. after 1910 prob. San Francisco CA). On 7 Feb 1848, in Roxbury, Suffolk Co. MA, Catherine mar. Henry James MOORE (b Ire ca. 1828), later moved to San Francisco CA. Believe their children included: Anne MOORE (b. ca. 1847/48 MA); Thomas Henry MOORE (b. ca. 1855/6 CA); Josephine MOORE (b. ca. 1858/9 CA, may have married ca. 1884 in CA, to Joseph M. ELLENBROOK); Henry Scott MOORE (b. ca. 1861/2 CA); William R. MOORE (b. ca. 1863/4 CA); and Mary Frances MOORE (b. ca. 1865/6 CA). William SCOTT and Jane CARROLL may have had at least one son, who may also have immigrated to MA, RI, or elsewhere in US. Has anyone done any immig./naturalization research on SCOTT families from Co.
