    1. REYNOLDS
    2. Greetings! We have great grandparents, JOHN and JANE (ANDERSON) REYNOLDS, sons WILLIAM,6, JOHN J.,4, and PAT,1, on the SS CANADA passenger list , arriving NY March 1882. Ship sailed from Liverpool and Queenstown. They settled in the W. Troy-Watervliet-Colonie-Green Island area of NY. We've also found the names KENNEDY,WALSH, CONNOLLY, GEOGHEGAN, and HAHN married into the family, so far. Jane's parents were JOHN and ELLEN ANDERSON. He may have come from Scotland. My great uncles, William, John and Pat were all born in the 1870s and I believe my great grandparents, John and Jane were married after 1870. The big question , of course, is where in Ireland did they come from? We will take our first trip to Ireland in April, only a week during spring break. We'll be based in Dublin this time. Armed only with names and dates, the questions are: 1.) Where should we start searching? (National Library, etc...) 2.)What can we hope to find? 3.)Will this method just be a big waste of time and a major disappointment? Or is there any hope of finding anything worthwhile? Thank you for any suggestions. Sheila
