    2. Good Morning Pat & Listers. My "Irish Connections" went from Ireland to Glasgow, Scotland in the mid 1800s, I believe. They settled in Lanarkshire in the greater Glasgow area. On the Scots certificates I have, where it mentions any of them, it just says "born in Ireland". Same with the censuses! No help there. So I am hoping someone on this list will be able to possibly give me directions on where to go & maybe some URLs. Patrick LENNON. Born c. 1825 in Ireland. Parents: Owen LENNON & Mary CAMPBELL. Patrick went to Scotland prior to his marriage to Catherine PATERSON (also born in Ireland c.1833) in Coatbridge on 7 September, 1856. He was a Coal Pit Labourer who died before 1892. I will post the details of the other families in separate emails. ANY help with this family will be very much appreciated as I am just hitting blank walls with them. Thanks very much. Kind Regards, Beryl Flynn

    3. First of all, you mention three surnames that I also have in my family, also in the same branch. I have a Campbell that married a Flynn and parents of Flynn are Flynn and Lennon! My Flynn and Lennon's are from the Cloone area in County Leitrim and my Campbells are from County Armagh. While your Lennon was born in 1825, you have his father's name so I searched the Griffith's Valuation for Owen Lennon, thinking that he might still have been alive when the GV took place 1840s-1860s depending on the county. Here's what I found. Surname, first, Lessor's surname, first, county, civil parish, townland LENNON OWEN HAMILTON HILL ANTRIM SHANKILL TOWNPARKS LENNON OWEN DALY DOMINICK ARMAGH CREGGAN LISSARAW LENNON OWEN REYNOLDS JOHN LONGFORD KILLOE CREELAGHTA LENNON OWEN GRANARD EARL OF LONGFORD KILLOE SORAN LENNON OWEN LENNON HUGH LOUTH DUNDALK DOWDALLSHILL LENNON OWEN LENNON ROSE LOUTH DUNDALK TOWN PARKS LENNON OWEN LEVINS JOHN LOUTH LOUTH DRUMGONNELLY LANNON OWEN FORTESCUE CHARLES LOUTH LOUTH EMLAGH LENNON OWEN GOFF JOSEPH TYRONE CLONFEACLE MULLYCAR I was hoping to find him in Co Leitrim but didn't. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com

    3. I received my great great grandmother's obit. Her name is Grace Davarn, born 20 Feb 1853, died 12 Feb 1913. The obit says she was born in Tipperary County, Ireland and came to Michigan in 1856 with her parents, Patrick & Katherine Davarn. Both Patrick & Katherine were born abt. 1825 - 1826. Grace married Patrick Cosgriff who also was born in Ireland. It may be the Cosgriffs went from Ireland to Canada first and then on to Michigan. If anyone has further information on my Davarns or Cosgriffs I would love to hear it. Thank you, Terri
