Virginia, how come there's no Hopkins from Derrylahan listed? Just kidding. My paternal grandmother, Honor Hopkins, was from Derrylahan. It's so unusual to see that townland listed that I felt I had to make a comment. My paternal grandfather, Michael Hopkins, was from Crimlin/Crumlin which was a townland adjacent to Derrylahan. My grandparents were cousins. His mother was Mary Kearney. I have seen it also written as Carney.
