Hi Dorothy, John McVeigh had a sister Elizabeth born in Newburgh, NY and a brother James also born there. My grandfather John McVeigh was also born in Newburgh Aug.10, 1857. My ggrandfather James McVeigh came to the USA about 1850. His wife was Margaret McEvoy. My grandfather went to Ireland about 1877 and married Mary Ann Creney, Craney in 1878, they had a son James born there in 1879. They returned to the USA in 1881. Perhaps they were cousins. Where and when was Mary McVeigh (McKeown )born? Do you know who her parents were?
