I am trying to break through a very stubborn brick-wall regarding my gggrandparents - the surnames in my search include: Quigley, Lane/Layne, McKenna, Bland, McGee, Matthews, Gernan and Connaghey. My gggrandparents were James Quigley and Elizabeth Lane (sometimes spelt Layne) - they were married in the Catholic Diocese of Armagh RC Parish of Kilsaren, Co Louth on 7th November 1836 - their witnesses were John Gernan and Mary Connaghey. The children of James and Elizabeth that I have managed to identify are: James Quigley: My g grandfather who came to goldfields of Victoria, Australia in the 1840s Matthew Quigley: Who went to Boston in the 1840s and was one of the first Policemen Ann Quigley: Who married John McKenna a harness maker. When their son Owen was born on Dec 22, 1878 they were living at a place called "Charleville", Co Louth. I have also found via a "Will" that Ann had two more children James and Mary.
