Patricia, If it was me , I would initially concentrate on Margaret Quirk & Winifred Downey. for there appears to be a connection there. On the outside, looking in, it could be that when the Griffith's Valuation was taken, in Tipperary, the husbands of Margaret & Winifred may have been deceased, for that was the era of the Great Famine. Others may know more than I, but that is where I would start from. Try and gain access to the church records, write or email the Priest, who knows you might get lucky. Double check this but I think that Ballingary comes under the Diocese of Cashel. Ballingarry, is also known, or used to be known as Gare. It is in the Barony of Slieveardagh.
