    3. Looking for information for John WHELAN. Born Ireland about 1830, County Unknown. John was the son of NICHOLAS Whelan and Margaret POWER. Emigrated to the US to NJ in 1851. Marrried Mary HALL, dau of Bartholomew and Bridget HAVERTY, of IRE. in 1856 in Hoboken, NJ. Children identified as Margaret (1857); Delia(1858); Michael (1860) Alice(1863); Mathilde(Mary Ann, 1866) and twin sons, Nicholas and John(1869). All children born in NJ (Jersey City-Hoboken area) and raised in Bridgeport, Fairfield Co., CT. (1870), and subsequently Naugatuck, New Haven Co.,CT (1875). Thank you, Michael Whelan, of CT.

    3. Hello Michael, Would you have an Adam Whelan in your tree? My Adam came from Tipperary approx 1831. He came to Victoria Australia in 1851. He marr Mary Mc Inerney also from Tipperary. Their first child was Michael Joseph.
