    1. Re: [IRELAND-ROLL-CALLS] SURNAMES of Castlebar
    2. Virginia, how come there's no Hopkins from Derrylahan listed? Just kidding. My paternal grandmother, Honor Hopkins, was from Derrylahan. It's so unusual to see that townland listed that I felt I had to make a comment. My paternal grandfather, Michael Hopkins, was from Crimlin/Crumlin which was a townland adjacent to Derrylahan. My grandparents were cousins. His mother was Mary Kearney. I have seen it also written as Carney. Nora Hopkins FitzGerald HOPKINS/BLAINE/JENNINGS/CUNNINGHAM/MCMYLER from Crimlin, Derrylahan and Commauns townlands in Mayo In a message dated 2/10/2007 8:11:22 P.M. 1. [IRELAND-ROLL-CALLS] HANLEY, WHITE
    2. Thomas HANLEY married Bridget WHITE about 1846 in Ireland. They had son, Patrick HANLEY, born 17 March 1847 in Ireland. (Family not found in Famine Immigrants' series.) Probably immigrated into Canada first, then entered the US. Family lived in Albany, New York for a short time (ca. 1848-1849). Then settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by 1850. Thomas and Bridget had six children born in Milwaukee: James and Michael, for sure, and probably: John, Mary Ann, Julia and [ ? ]. Bridget (WHITE) HANLEY died ca. 1859 in Milwaukee. Some of the boys ended up in the county poorhouse and the girls went to an orphanage (1860 Census - Milwaukee County, Wisconsin). Patrick married Margaret BARRETT on 24 November 1881 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Michael married Hannah MCDONALD on 14 July 1872 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Other children went into Illinois or stayed in Wisconsin. Any additional information about this family would be appreciated. Thanks. Carole

    1. [IRELAND-ROLL-CALLS] Kilkenny, Ireland: William Daly. Rev Patrick Kelly
    2. Nancy Possley
    3. Would anyone have any idea if there are any early (like 1790's and up) records available? Does anyone have any Daly or Kelly relatives from there that went to Dearborn Michigan. Since I can't find my Magoonaugh family, I am looking to associate them with those names that I know came from that area. There is a Rev. Patrick Kelly (O'Kelly) who was born in Kilkenny in 1792 and later went to America abt 1835. His niece Annistatia Kelly married into the Magoonaugh family in Dearborn. Rev. Patrick also had some brothers named: Walter, Michael and maybe others who are "unknown to me" at this time. Walter married Mary McNamara Feb 5, 1845 Their children were John F, William F, Thomas E and Mrs E T Rohm of Davenport Ia, Mrs J S Stiles and Mrs E W Gale of Chicago Do these family names "ring a bell" with anyone out on the internet ?? Any suggestions?? Kind regards, Nancy
